Alec Bradley Releasing Two New Cigars in 7×70 Size
A few years ago, when a 6×60 Gordo was still seen as a mega cigar, Alec Bradley released the Texas Lancero. With the ‘everything is bigger in Texas’ motto, it was a 7×70 monster and a rarity at the time. Fast forward to a few years later and that size is getting more and more normal in the cigar industry.
Now Alec Bradley is releasing two new cigars in that 7×70 size. The Project 40 and Project 40 Maduro are getting the 07.70 as a line extension.
“We listened to the needs of our brand advocates and found it was the right time to add 7-inch-by-70-ring-gauge cigars to both lines,” says Alec Bradley founder Alan Rubin. “When we first launched the Project 40 Experimental Series, I promised the right cigar, with the right blend, at the right price. That statement still stands for these new iterations.”
The cigars are made in Nicaragua, at the J. Fuego Cigar Company. The blends are the same as the other Project 40 sizes. Either a Nicaraguan wrapper over a Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan filler or a Mexican San Andres wrapper for the Maduro version.
