Another new African Habanos Specialist

October 24, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Another new African Habanos Specialist. Habanos continues to grow in Africa. Recently Phoenicia, the Habanos distributor for almost all of Africa, awarded shops in Ivory Coast with the Habanos Specialist status. As well as a shop in Conakry, Republic of Guinea. But the Habanos Specialist family in Africa continues to grow.

Nigeria

The Dunes Center Cigar Shop in the nationals capital of Abuja has been awarded the Habanos Specialist status. That means that the tobacconist gets a wider array of Cuban cigars in its portfolio. The best and most desirable of all Cuban cigars are available for Nigerian cigar enthusiasts at the walk-in humidor of the shop. The cigars are well-taken care off. The humidity and temperature in the large walk-in humidor are ideal for cigars. The shop is located inside the Chateau du Vin wine shop on the lower ground floor 1 of Dunes Center.

Now Lagos might be the best known and largest city of Nigeria, but Abuja is the capital since 1991. It is the largest growing city in the world, with many wealthy Nigerians and foreign internationals who enjoy the finer things in life, such as cigars. By appointing a Habanos Specialist, Phoenicia is catering to the growing demand for cigars in the area.

To become a Habanos Specialist, a tobacconist has to qualify and meet certain requirements. Habanos offers more concepts, both for retail and experience concepts. We explained the different concepts in an article not too long ago.

about Phoenicia TAA

Phoenicia is the largest official distributor of Cuban cigars in the world. At least when it comes to territory. They cover more countries than Pacific Cigar Company. With Cyprus and Greece, the Middle East, and most of Africa, they supply three continents with both premium handmade cigars from Cuba as well as Cuban machine-made cigars.
