Artista Cigars has announced a significant expansion of its flagship Artista Series with the launch of the Artista Colorado, a medium-strength cigar designed to balance flavour, refinement, and affordability. Set to debut at PCA 2025 in New Orleans, the new line extension is already turning heads with its distinctive blend, attractive price point, and updated packaging.
The Artista Colorado features a carefully selected Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, paired with a Sumatra binder and a proprietary filler blend. The result is a cigar that delivers a smooth yet robust experience, offering notes of cedar, earth, and white pepper, accented by a subtle natural sweetness. It’s a profile that’s been crafted to appeal to both seasoned cigar smokers and value-conscious newcomers alike.
Offered in two vitolas—a Robusto (5×54) and a Toro (6×50)—the Artista Colorado comes in at an impressively low MSRP of $8.28 and $9.00, respectively. This positions the line well below the price point of other Artista blends such as Harvest, Midnight, and Falu.
The new packaging mirrors the look of the recently refreshed Artista Puro Ambar and Artista Cimarron, both of which began shipping to U.S. retailers in February 2025. This cohesive visual identity signals to consumers a more affordable price tier without compromising on quality. “We are committed to offering consumers and retailers affordable options and blends that punch well above their price,” said Kevin Newman, Vice President of Artista Cigars.

Produced at Tabacalera El Artista S.R.L. in Tamboril, Dominican Republic, the Artista Colorado benefits from decades of cigar-making expertise. Established in 1956, the factory is one of the largest in the Dominican Republic, producing millions of premium cigars annually and supplying tobacco across Europe, Canada, Scandinavia, and the Americas. The factory also manages its own farms throughout the Caribbean and South America, ensuring full control over quality and consistency.
With shipping to retailers scheduled to begin in early May 2025, the Artista Colorado represents a strong addition to the brand’s growing portfolio—proving once again that high-quality cigars don’t have to come at a high price.
