Ashton adds to the San Cristobal Quintessence line

July 19, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Ashton adds to the San Cristobal Quintessence line. The sixth vitola of the Nicaraguan cigar is a 7×49 Churchill. This line is the latest of the San Cristobal lines. In international markets, this line has the name Paradiso with the exact same blend. The artwork is also the same for the international markets, but with the Paradiso name.

Sizes and blend

The San Cristobal Quintessence, like all Ashton’s Nicaraguan cigars, are made at My Father Cigars SA in Esteli. The other brands are La Aroma de Cuba and Benchmade. La Aroma de Cuba has, just like San Cristobal, another name in the international markets due to copyright. In international markets, the name is La Aroma del Caribe.

The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Cuban seed. The binder and filler are all Nicaraguan. This creates a medium to full-bodied cigar. The 7×49 Churchill joins the 6½x54 Belicoso, 5⅝x46 Corona Gorda, 6×52 Epicure, 6×60 Majestic, and the 5½x50 Robusto.

Other San Cristobal lines

The San Cristobal Quintessence was launched in 2016. It’s the 5th San Cristobal blend. All come from the rollers of My Father Cigars. The other lines are the San Cristobal core line, San Cristobal Elegancia, San Cristobal Revelation, and the San Cristobal Ovation.
