Ashton comes with a new La Aroma de Cuba
Ashton comes with a new La Aroma de Cuba, or La Aroma del Caribe as it is called outside the United States. The new cigar is coming this summer says Ashton Distributors. The new lime has the name La Aroma de Cuba/del Caribe Passion. It will be the fifth blend under the La Aroma moniker.
La Aroma Passion
Like the other four lines under the La Aroma name, the cigars come from Nicaragua. From Ashton’s production partner in Esteli, My Father Cigars. My Father Cigars makes all Nicaraguan brands from Ashton Distributors. Those are Benchmade, San Cristobal, and La Aroma. San Cristobal is known as Paradiso in international markets.
The La Aroma de Cuba Passion is a Nicaraguan puro. The wrapper is shade-grown tobacco from a Garcia plantation east of Esteli, in Namanji. Just like the wrapper, all the other tobacco in the cigar has been aged for several years before rolling.
There will be six sizes available, all in boxes of 25 cigars. Those are a 5⅝x46 Corona Gorda, 5½x50 Robusto, 6×52 Marcelosa, 7×49 Churchill, 6×60 Encanto, and a 6⅛x54 Torpedo. The torpedo is box-pressed.
Other La Aroma lines
The other La Aroma de Cuba, or del Caribe, lines are La Aroma de Cuba, La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial, La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor, La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva, and La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse. The reason why the brand has two names has to do with trademarks. Outside of the United States, Habanos owns the sole right to use Habano or Cuba when it comes to premium cigars.
