The Asylum April Fools’ 2025 Year of the Snake is set to ship in mid-March, a timely change from previous years when releases landed months after April 1.

A 9 x 90 Honduran Puro Returns First introduced in 2021, the Asylum April Fools’ cigar remains a massive 9 x 90 Honduran puro. This year’s edition follows the same blend and format that has defined the series, catering to fans of large-gauge cigars who enjoy its bold, full-bodied experience.

Packaging Evolution and Price Increase Last year, Asylum significantly revamped the packaging, shifting from wooden coffins to round tubos and redesigning the boxes, which also serve as ashtrays. The 2025 release continues with this updated presentation. Pricing has increased slightly, with each cigar now carrying an MSRP of $45, up from $42.36 in 2024. Each box contains six cigars.

Year of the Snake Edition Since 2023, Asylum has incorporated themes from the Chinese zodiac calendar into its April Fools’ cigars. The 2025 edition follows this trend, aligning with the Year of the Snake, a theme embraced by multiple premium cigar brands this year.
