Black Label Trading Company ships Viaticum

August 3, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Black Label Trading Company ships Viaticum. This is not a new line, as it was a limited edition launched in November 2019. Up until now, it was only available for retailers that were present at the 2019 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. But now it is available to all American retailers and there is a shipment on its way to Europe where Black Label Trading Company has distributing partners in Belgium and Germany.

“Viaticum is an evolution of the Last Rites blend and a testament to what Black Label Trading Co is all about,” says James Brown, creator of BLTC and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, via a press release. “It uses most of the same tobaccos but in different proportions and primings. It’s the perfect balance between strength and complexity. This cigar is bold but also very refined. It’s all about balance. The dark fruit and earth flavors are wrapped in soft floral notes and elevated with a multitude of spice on the finish,” he adds.

New sizes

The previous edition was only available in a 5×54 Robusto. That size is available again, but now there is also a 6×48 Toro and a 6¾x40 Lancero. They all come in boxes of 20 cigars and each vitola is limited to 16000 cigars each for the American market. There is a second production that is specifically for the European partners of Black Trading Cigar Company.

The cigar is made with fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua and a Honduran Habano binder. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Maduro. The MSRP for the American market is $15 for the Robusto and Lancero, $15.25 for the Toro. The expectation is that the European prices are in the same region, around 15 Euro. Black Label Trading Company makes cigars at the Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.
