Bocock Brothers Expands LSU Cigar Line with Jay Johnson Signature Series
Bocock Brothers Premium Cigars is expanding its partnership with LSU athletics, this time paying tribute to the university’s baseball programme. Following last year’s launch of officially licensed LSU football cigars, the brand is now introducing a new series honouring Jay Johnson, head coach of the LSU Tigers baseball team.
The Power House: Jay Johnson Signature Series
Dubbed The Power House: Jay Johnson Signature Series, this latest release is a premium cigar that showcases the coach’s name and signature on the box. Made in Honduras at an undisclosed factory, the blend features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. The cigars come in two box-pressed vitolas:
• Robusto (5 x 50) – $16 per cigar (Box of 20: $320)
• Toro (6 x 52) – $16.25 per cigar (Box of 20: $325)
The packaging is uniquely designed to reflect LSU’s baseball heritage. The robusto comes in a striking purple box, while the toro is housed in a white box with pinstripes. Each box holds 20 cigars, divided into two sections of ten, with a dedicated space in the centre designed to hold a baseball—though a baseball is not included.
A Tribute to Champions
Jay Johnson led LSU to a national title in 2023, cementing his place in the school’s storied sports history. To support the university’s athletes, a portion of sales from The Power House series will be donated to Bayou Traditions, an LSU NIL collective.
