Boveda is now available in Singapore

Boveda is now available in Singapore. For many years, cigar enthusiasts in Singapore had to order their Boveda 2-way humidification packs online via eBay, Amazon, or other online retailers. But those days are over. Boveda is now available through a wholesaler who’s supplying Singapore’s tobacconists with the 65% and 69% Boveda packs. They chose those two variations due to the climate in Singapore, which is hot and humid. The first shipment arrived last week according to sources. 

Boveda packs

There are three different sizes of Boveda packs available in Singapore. The 320-gram pack for large humidors, the 60-gram packs for desktop size humidors, and the 8-gram packs for travel humidors and small tupperdores. Both of course in the mentioned 69% and 65% versions, depending on the location of the humidor. The 65% works better in rooms without airconditioning, while the 69% is perfect for humidors located in rooms with a lower temperature such as rooms where airconditioning is running all day long. This has to do with the relation between temperature and humidity.

Besides the six different Boveda 2-way humidification packs, a few other items are available in Singapore as well. These include a mounting plate to hang the 320-gram packs in your humidor. And both wooden and metal holders for one or two 60-gram packs. That way the Boveda packs can be hung from the lid of a desktop humidor instead of lying directly on top of the cigars.

Calibration kits

It is wise to calibrate your hygrometer once in a while. The old-fashioned way is using a salt test. But it is not convenient to do so. Boveda has simple calibration sets, and these made it to Singapore as well. For those without humidors or tupperdores, of people who travel often, Boveda has ‘one-year humidor bags’ which hold about two boxes of cigars and come with a Boveda pack. These bags are available in Singapore as well.
