Selected Tobacco unveils the Byron 21st Century Aristocratas 10-Year Aged at PCA 2025—an extraordinary release aged for a full decade using a unique, wine-inspired method that elevates this cigar to near-mythical status.
Following the overwhelming success of the Atabey Dioses and Misticos 10-Year Aged cigars in 2023, Selected Tobaccoand founder Nelson Alfonso return to the spotlight with another stunning limited release at the Premium Cigar Association Trade Show 2025: the Byron 21st Century Aristocratas 10-Year Aged (8 x 52).
What sets this release apart isn’t just its Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Peruvian binder, or its intricate blend of Peruvian and Nicaraguan fillers—it’s the process. The Aristocratas is normally aged for four years in specially controlled humidors, but this edition has spent a full decade maturing under Alfonso’s proprietary ageing method. Utilising fluctuating humidity levels and cedar-lined ageing chambers featuring up to five cedar wood types, the cigars undergo a transformation akin to the finest vintage wines and aged spirits.
“Ten years is not easy. But the cigar now is art. It is soft, but strong. Elegant, but full. This is my passion,” Alfonso explained.
Each cigar is presented in a luxurious black piano lacquered box of 25, with an MSRP of $43.50 per cigar. Distribution is handled exclusively by United Cigars, whose growing portfolio includes other boutique legends like Atabey, Bandolero, and Alfonso.
