C.L.E. Cigar Co. Expands Flagship Brand with New Maduro Line
Honduran cigarmaker C.L.E. Cigar Co. is expanding its core lineup with the introduction of the C.L.E. Maduro, set to debut at next month’s PCA Trade Show in New Orleans. Featuring a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper, this new addition is expected to start shipping between April and May.
The launch of the Maduro line comes amid a strategic revamp of C.L.E.’s brand structure, which is now streamlined to focus on lines named after their wrappers: Corojo, Connecticut, Habano, and now, Maduro. While maintaining the Honduran binder and fillers found in the other core lines, the C.L.E. Maduro offers a distinct medium-bodied profile, catering to aficionados who enjoy a richer, refined smoking experience.
Available Sizes and Pricing
The C.L.E. Maduro will be available in five sizes, consistent with the other core lines:
• 40 x 4 – $5.00
• 50 x 5 – $10.66
• 54 x 6 – $11.36
• 60 x 6 – $11.66
• 11/18 Figurado (6” x 50/54/50) – $11.16
All sizes will ship in boxes of 25 and, like the rest of the C.L.E. core brands, will be produced at the company’s factory in Honduras.
In light of this restructuring, C.L.E. has phased out several other lines—including Signature, Azabache, Prieto, and Chele—from regular production. However, according to Christian Eiroa, these blends will still be available as special-order items for retailers and customers.
With the addition of the C.L.E. Maduro, the brand continues to refine its offerings, focusing on premium blends that highlight both tradition and innovation.
