Caldwell Ships Travel-Sized The Layover
Caldwell Cigars is releasing a new travel-friendly cigar, Lost & Found The Layover, designed for smokers who want a full-cigar experience in a compact format. The cigar is set to ship to retailers starting Wednesday, 8 October 2025.
Robert Caldwell explained, “I’m always traveling but don’t like the majority of smaller cigars on the market. I love our Manzanitas but sometimes want the hand feel of a full-size cigar. The Layover is something I built for myself: A big-cigar experience in a short-time format. It smokes way bigger than it is.”
Design and Blend
The Layover is a box-pressed robusto measuring 4 1/4 inches by 54 ring gauge. It combines the short length of a petit corona with the girth of a larger cigar, offering a satisfying smoking experience for those on the go.
The cigar is produced at Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic. Its construction features a Dominican Negrito Añejado wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Limited Release
The Layover has a suggested retail price of $12.60 and is limited to 150 boxes of 20 cigars, totalling 3,000 cigars. This makes it a highly collectible release for aficionados looking for a compact yet full-bodied smoking experience.
