Caldwell’s Yellow Cake Expands with New Wrapper Options for 2025

March 5, 2025 Inspector X 3 min read

Yellow Cake, once an event-exclusive cigar from Caldwell Cigar Co., is making a comeback in 2025, now available in two wrapper variants: Habano and Maduro. Laudisi Enterprises has begun shipping the new releases, offering aficionados a fresh take on this cult favourite.

Laudisi Enterprises, the owner of the Caldwell brand, announced that Yellow Cake 2025 is now available in two vitolas: Corona and Robusto, with both sizes offered in Habano and Maduro wrapper options. The company has chosen not to disclose the blend or manufacturer for this release. However, for reference, the original Yellow Cake featured a Dominican Corojo wrapper and was produced at Tabacalera William Ventura.

Yellow Cake 2025 Offerings:
• Yellow Cake 2025 Habano Corona (4 x 46) – $5.60 (Pack of five, $28)
• Yellow Cake 2025 Maduro Corona (4 x 46) – $5.60 (Pack of five, $28)
• Yellow Cake 2025 Habano Robusto (5 x 50) – $6.72 (Pack of five, $33.60)
• Yellow Cake 2025 Maduro Robusto (5 x 50) – $6.72 (Pack of five, $33.60)

Yellow Cake was never supposed to be a thing. We developed the first run as an event-only cigar, exclusively in the Coronita size,” said Robert Caldwell, the company’s founder. “It was so popular that we got pushed into producing them for retail and adding a Robusto version. AGAINST MY WILL, people have loved these cigars from the minute we dropped them. But we’ve always been a brand that supports the will of our people, so this year, we leaned into it – adding a brand new Maduro in addition to the OG Habano blend. Two wrappers. Two sizes. Pick your pleasure, or your pain (if you ask me). Just get them freshly iced.

New National Sales Manager Announcement

In addition to expanding Yellow Cake, Laudisi Enterprises has appointed Franklin Kleckner as the new national sales manager for Laudisi Distribution Group. Kleckner, who previously worked at Davidoff, El Septimo, and Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Inc., brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Laudisi, with its strong foundation in innovation and creativity, is a company I’ve admired for years,” said Kleckner in a press release. “Combined with my admiration of the company is my respect for the people, and so this opportunity to work on Caldwell felt like the perfect fit. I believe what sets Caldwell apart from competitors in the boutique market is our back-end logistics and procedures that allow us to provide proper support at every level to our retail partners.

With these updates, Caldwell’s Yellow Cake continues to solidify its place in the boutique cigar market, offering both a nostalgic return and exciting new options for enthusiasts.
