Cavalier Geneve Releases LE2020

This limited edition consists of 1000 hand-numbered boxes. Each box contains ten cigars in a 6×54 toro vitola. The cigars are box-pressed.

Cavalier Geneve LE

Each year, the Swiss Honduran brand releases an LE. And every year it is a bit of a mystery as the company chooses not to disclose the blend. And unlike regular production Cavalier Geneve cigars, the golden square is missing.

The cigars are made in barber-ole fashion. But not with equal parts of the two wrappers exposed. The dark wrapper covers almost all of the cigar with a thin stripe of a lighter color showing through. 

International release

In a press release, Cavalier Geneve says that all the boxes are spoken for. The cigars for the American market are getting their cigars first. The international distributors will follow in the second wave. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, planning international shipments was more complex this year.

Covid-19 also causes delays. That’s why Cavalier Geneve releases its LE2020 so late this year. The mandatory closure of cigar factories in Honduras is the cause of the delay. We wrote about the disturbances in the supply chain due to the global pandemic earlier. 

And these problems still occur. Factories are not able to work at maximum capacity. Transport is still a big issue, and all the while demand is going through the roof all over the world. Especially internet sales are at record highs. Several cigar manufacturers said to us that the covid-19 pandemic causes another cigar boom.
