Cavalier Genève Cigars introduces the Regional Edition Switzerland “Mauro,” a limited 109 vitola release celebrating the brand’s birthplace and honouring a dear friend.
A Tribute to Switzerland and Friendship
Cavalier Genève Cigars has announced the Regional Edition Switzerland, an exclusive cigar crafted solely for the Swiss market. Following the success of the United States Regional Exclusive, this marks the second country-specific project in the brand’s portfolio.
Founder Sébastien Decoppet described the release as deeply personal. “Switzerland is the birthplace of our brand, a place we wanted to celebrate accordingly,” he said. The project had been in development for several years before finally coming to fruition.
The “Mauro” Cigar
The Regional Edition Switzerland features a single vitola—a 109, a classic size chosen for its elegance and balance. Cavalier Genève even commissioned custom moulds for this format to ensure perfect construction.
The cigar blend is exclusive to Switzerland, conceived to reflect the country’s refined cigar culture. Each cigar has undergone two years of post-production ageing before shipment, ensuring a smooth and harmonious smoking experience.
Production is limited to 500 boxes of 10 cigars, totalling only 5,000 cigars worldwide. This rarity underscores the significance of the release, both as a collector’s item and a heartfelt tribute.
Collaboration and Dedication
Cavalier Genève collaborated closely with AMC Trading, the brand’s official Swiss importer, over a period of three years to bring this project to life.
In a touching gesture, Decoppet dedicated the cigar to Mauro Neri, a member of AMC Trading and a close friend. “Mauro is simply an inspiration for everyone who knows him,” Decoppet explained. “His love for cigars and his generosity in sharing that passion are unmatched.”
Each box includes a wax paper insert with a few words honouring Mauro, adding a personal and emotional dimension to this limited-edition release.
Availability
The Cavalier Genève Regional Edition Switzerland “Mauro” will soon be available through authorised Swiss retailers. With its limited production and unique backstory, it stands as a meaningful addition to Cavalier’s growing portfolio of regional exclusives.
