Cigar Oasis Unveils the Plus 4.0 Ahead of Schedule
Cigar Oasis surprised the market with the early arrival of the Cigar Oasis Plus 4.0. The company planned to launch the unit next year. Instead, it now sells the updated model for $199 through its online store. The Plus sits in the middle of the Cigar Oasis range. It targets large desktop humidors and small cabinets. Users plug the device into a wall outlet, set their preferred humidity level and let the unit manage moisture with precision.
The system uses a two-part structure. The bottom section serves as the water cartridge. The top houses the fan and control hardware. Once the user sets the humidity, the fan activates and pulls moisture from the reservoir. Sensors track the chamber conditions. When the humidor reaches the target humidity, the fan shuts down. When it drops, the fan starts again. This design supports stable, consistent storage for premium cigars.
Familiar Design with Modern Enhancements
From the outside, the Plus 4.0 looks almost identical to the 3.0 version. Both share the same dimensions and layout. The large display and three soft-touch buttons remain at the front. The Excel and Plus models also share the same footprint. The Plus, however, includes a stronger fan to handle larger spaces.
What’s New in the 4.0 Version
Cigar Oasis introduced several updates to improve reliability and user control:
A new colour scheme with a less brown finish.
Updated sensors and a modern chipset for better accuracy.
A redesigned fan that boosts airflow.
Rapid Response Technology, which improves communication with the Cigar Oasis smartphone app.
The app, available for iOS and Android, reads large temperature or humidity swings instantly. It updates less often when conditions remain stable. Users can monitor and adjust their humidor remotely through wi-fi. This feature costs $3.99 per month or $19.99 per year. The unit functions without the app but loses remote access.
The Plus 4.0 now comes from a facility in the Philippines. The former 3.0 model was made in China. At the moment, the Plus 4.0 sells only through the Cigar Oasis website. Wholesale distribution begins next month. The Ultra and Plus have moved to 4.0 status. More models should follow in 2026.
