Cigars International Builds a Warehouse of the Future

Last week CEO Niels Frederiksen and our three divisional heads Sarah Santos, Régis Broersma and Jurjan Klep formally inaugurated the building with a ribbon cutting with members of the North America Online and Retail team.

The new customized and automated system, Autostore, takes the warehouse in Bethlehem Pennsylvania to the next level. The expansion consists of a brand new 30,000 square feet humidor and another 70,000 square feet warehouse space – which almost doubles the size of the facility. The automated system can be compared to systems used by Amazon and Best Buy. In only a few weeks, Autostore will be fully operational, and Cigars International will be able to handle higher order volumes and get packages out faster and easier.
