Cigars International Expands to Orlando and Kentucky

Cigars International is adding two new superstores in late 2025. One will open near Universal Studios in Orlando, and the other will debut in Newport, Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati.

Orlando Store Near Universal Studios

The Orlando location will be at 4158 Conroy Road, around 2.5 miles from Universal Studios. Unlike most of the company’s superstores, this one will be housed in a renovated building, formerly a sports bar, rather than a new build.

The 9,000-square-foot store will include a large walk-in humidor, indoor and outdoor smoking areas, and a full bar. This will be Cigars International’s fourth Florida superstore but its first in the Orlando area.

Kentucky Store Joins the Greater Cincinnati Market

The second new store is set for 1 Levee Way in Newport, Kentucky, part of the vibrant Newport on the Levee district along the Ohio River. It will sit almost directly across from the Cincinnati Reds’ Great American Ballpark.

This 5,700-square-foot location will also feature a full bar and two outdoor seating levels, designed to accommodate the sloping site. It will be the company’s first store in Kentucky and only a short distance from The Party Source, one of the largest liquor and cigar retailers in the region.

Opening Timeline and Store Network

Both stores are expected to open in late autumn 2025, increasing the total Cigars International store count to 15. Current locations include multiple outlets in Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee.

Cigars International and STG

Cigars International, owned by Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), is the world’s largest cigar retailer. The company is best known for its online and catalogue business but has steadily expanded its retail footprint in recent years.

STG also owns Thompson Cigar, Cigar Bid, Cigar.com, Pipes and Cigars, and Club Macanudo, alongside premium cigar brands such as Alec Bradley, Macanudo, CAO, Room101, and the non-Cuban versions of Cohiba and Partagas.
