Cigars International Releases Box-Pressed Liga Privada H99 Churrasco Exclusive

January 12, 2026 Inspector X 2 min read

Cigars International has released an exclusive, box-pressed version of the Liga Privada H99. The new Churrasco marks the first box-pressed vitola in the H99 line and targets fans of bold, deliberate blends.

Liga Privada H99 Churrasco

A First for the Liga Privada H99 Line

The Liga Privada H99 continues to evolve. This new release introduces a box-pressed format for the first time. That alone makes it notable within the H99 portfolio.

The Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo Churrasco measures 6 x 50. It sits firmly in toro territory. The box press adds a sharper visual identity. For many smokers, construction changes matter as much as blend tweaks. This release speaks directly to that audience.

Blend Composition and Tobacco Origins

The wrapper remains central to the H99 identity. It uses a proprietary hybrid leaf. This wrapper crosses stalk-cut Connecticut habano with corojo seed. Beneath the wrapper sits a Mexican San Andrés negro binder. The filler blend draws from three regions. Honduras contributes body. Nicaragua adds strength. Pennsylvania tobacco delivers texture and edge. Together, the blend maintains H99 character while pushing intensity.

Pricing and Availability

At launch, Cigars International listed the cigar at $175.99 per box. Each box contains 10 cigars. That places the per-stick price firmly in the premium tier. This release is exclusive to Cigars International channels. Availability extends across its retail network. That includes multiple online storefronts under the same umbrella.

The Scandinavian Tobacco Group Retail Network

Cigars International operates as part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group. STG trades publicly and controls a broad cigar portfolio. Its holdings include General Cigar Co. and Forged Cigar Co. On the retail side, STG owns several major platforms. These include Thompson Cigar, Cigar.com, Cigar Bid, Cigora, and Pipes and Cigars. The Churrasco will likely appear across these outlets.

Drew Estate on the Churrasco Concept

According to Jonathan Drew, the Churrasco represents intent and focus. The cigar was designed for a specific retail partner. That constraint shaped its final form.

Drew Estate positioned the cigar as an expansion, not a reinvention. The blend stays recognisably H99. The edge feels sharper and more deliberate. This approach aligns with recent Liga Privada exclusives. Each release adds variation without diluting the core identity.
