Crowned Heads and NACSA Brings New Le Pâtissier Blend

November 24, 2022 Inspector L 1 min read

Last month, after the break-up with ACE Prime (now Luciano Cigars), Crowned Heads moved the production of the Le Pâtissier from Luciano’s Tabacalera Pichardo to NACSA, the factory run by Raul Disla. And now it looks like the bond between Crowned Heads and NACSA will be tighter as a new blend will be released soon made at the NACSA factory.

The Azul y Oro is a 6×50 Toro with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder from the Jalapa region and filler from all over Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. This is a limited edition release of only 2500 boxes of 12.

The story goes that the name is inspired by Johnny Walker Blue Label, the favourite whisky of Gustavo Cura of NACSA and Oliva Tobacco. When Mike Conder and John Huber of Crowned Heads gave him a bottle of the whisky famous for its iconic blue label. That blue label inspired the trio to name the new cigar ‘blue and gold’ aka Azul y Oro.
