Crowned Heads Expands Blood Medicine with B Positive Limited Edition 2025

August 23, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

Crowned Heads has announced a new extension to its Blood Medicine line. The B Positive Limited Edition 2025 will begin shipping in mid-September, offering a bolder take on the popular blend.

Origins of Blood Medicine

The Blood Medicine line traces back to 2015, when Crowned Heads released an event-only robusto. Its name came from The Merchant Hotel in downtown Nashville, once a pharmacy in the 1800s, where the slogan “Blood Medicine” still appears on the wall.

Since then, the line has reappeared in 2022 and 2024 as small-batch editions. Earlier in 2025, it evolved into a limited-edition line, and now it expands further with a new expression.

Size and Price

The new cigar comes in a 6 x 52 toro format. It will retail for $12.95 per stick, packed in boxes of 12. Only 2,400 boxesare being produced, making this release highly limited.

Blend and Wrapper

The blend mirrors the original with an Ecuador Connecticut binder and Nicaraguan fillers. The key change is the wrapper. The earlier Ecuador Habano has been swapped for Nicaraguan Corojo, creating a richer and more robust profile.

A Darker Expression

Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber explains the evolution:

“I was looking for a darker, meatier expression of the Blood Medicine blend… Nothing really hit me until we started working with this Corojo wrapper, and once we did, it became clear that it took the blend to an entirely new dimension in flavour and intensity.”

Production and Factory

Like several Crowned Heads lines such as Juárez and Míl Dias, the B Positive Limited Edition 2025 is rolled in Nicaragua at the D’Hatuey factory (formerly TacaNicsa).

With its limited run of 2,400 boxes, this bold new addition will likely move quickly once it hits retailers.
