Crowned Heads Introduces Limited Production Le Pâtissier No. 2 Torpedo

June 8, 2023 Inspector L 2 min read

Crowned Heads releases the Le Pâtissier as a limited Lonsdale in 2020 and the blend was such a hit that it became a regular production line in four sizes, although the Lonsdale remained a limited edition. Those cigars were all made at Tabacalera Pichardo, but since the break up between Crowned Heads and Luciano Cigars (the new name for Tabacalera Pichardo) production has moved to NACSA.

And now there will be a new size coming from the new factory, but it is a limited production item only available for retailers who attend the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show. This is a 6 1/8 x52 Torpedo with the same blend as the regular production. That is a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler from Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

The cigars come in black 20 count boxes while the regular production cigars come in crème-coloured boxes.

“It’s a rarity that we’ve released a figurado in our portfolio,” said Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, in a press release. “To this day, the only torpedo we’ve produced on a regular production basis goes back to our original Four Kicks Piramide dating back to 2011. Having said that, I’ve always been enamoured with the classic torpedo vitola since I began smoking cigars almost thirty years ago, like the Montecristo No. 2 and the H. Upmann No. 2, both considered classic Cuban cigars. We always strive to bring something special to our PCA Exclusive, so we felt the Le Pâtissier No. 2 was a good fit.”
