Crowned Heads Recycles Le Careme Belicosos Finos
Crowned Heads recycles Le Careme Belicosos Finos as a limited edition for 2021. It’s the third time in four years that the Nashville cigar company is releasing this vitola as an annual LE. The previous versions were in 2018 and 2019. And now the Le Carême Belicosos Finos 2021 LE is coming later this month.
The cigar is a 5½x52 Belicoso. It is a vitola that Crowned Heads doesn’t offer as a regular production as well. But there is more than just a new vitola. This version is round, where the regular production La Careme is a trunk press.
The blend and the inspiration
For the inspiration, Crowned Heads didn’t look to music for this cigar. They draw inspiration from food. From Marie Antoine Carême, a French chef. He was a pioneer when it comes to soufflés. And according to the flavor profile, this cigar tastes like a chocolate soufflé.
The cigar comes from Tabacalera La Alianza, the factory of Ernesto Perez Carrillo in the Dominican Republic. It is a cigar with filler from Nicaragua. The binder is Ecuadorian Sumatra with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Only 1000 boxes of 12 cigars are coming available. These are all allocated to the American market.
“Despite the fact that we were completely out of stock on all Le Carême cigars in 2020 due to a shortage of Connecticut Broadleaf (wrapper) tobacco, we still continue to receive weekly inquiries on the Le Carême line,” says Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads. “We’re extremely excited to be bring back not only the Belicosos Finos but the Le Carême brand as well, into the retail spotlight.”
