Davidoff Cigars is marking the tenth anniversary of its celebrated Escurio line with a special limited-edition release, blending aged tobaccos for a complex and refined smoking experience. The Escurio 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Gran Toro will launch in April 2025, showcasing Davidoff’s expertise in crafting premium cigars.
A Decade of Escurio Excellence
First introduced in 2015, the Escurio line was Davidoff’s second release under the Black Band Collection, following the successful Nicaragua series. Featuring a distinctive combination of Brazilian Mata Fina and Dominican tobaccos, Escurio quickly established itself as a favourite among aficionados seeking a medium-intense flavour profile with a unique salty-sweet balance. Over the years, the Escurio line has offered a variety of exclusive vitolas, including the Petit Robusto, Gran Toro, Corona Gorda, and Gran Perfecto.
The 10th Anniversary Gran Toro
For this milestone release, Davidoff has created a special blend with tobaccos aged for a combined 45 years. The Gran Toro (6″ x 56) features a selection of Brazilian Bahia and Dominican fillers, including a Dominican tobacco leaf that has been meticulously aged in a bourbon cask, adding an extra layer of sweetness and depth to the smoking experience.

The initial third introduces creamy, toasty notes with a coffee-like richness, reminiscent of a cappuccino. This transitions into a smooth praline-like aftertaste with hints of vanilla bean. As the cigar progresses, it develops bolder notes of leather, dried apricots, and liquorice. The final third features a luxurious blend of bittersweet chocolate, almonds, and the delicate sweetness of acacia honey, providing a satisfying finish.
