Diesel Cigars Unveils Two Limited Editions: BBQ-Inspired Pulled Pork and Raceking Bourbon Barrel-Aged Blends
Diesel Cigars is kicking off summer 2025 with two exciting limited releases: a BBQ-themed smoke honouring North Carolina’s iconic flavours, and a bold new addition to its whiskey barrel-aged series, timed perfectly for Derby season.
Diesel Backyard Barbecue Series: Pulled Pork Edition
The Backyard Barbecue Series is Diesel’s latest venture into regional flavour profiles, and its inaugural release celebrates North Carolina’s famed pulled pork tradition. Named appropriately, Diesel Pulled Pork is a meaty Robusto (5 x 56) that pays tribute to the Tar Heel State’s smoky, down-home BBQ roots.
Crafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A., the cigar features a Habano Rosado wrapper, Jalapa binder, and a bold filler blend from Jamastran, Estelí, and Condega. Smokers can expect a full-bodied profile packed with earthy character, charred wood undertones, and hints of toasted hazelnut.
Diesel Assistant Brand Manager Joe Krzyston calls it “THE cigar of the summer”, noting its seasonal appeal and rich, grill-friendly character. With only 2,000 10-count boxes produced, this $7.49 stick is poised to become a summer staple for cigar lovers who enjoy their smokes with a side of smokehouse flair.
Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection: Raceking
Also launching this May is Diesel Founder’s Collection Raceking, the fifth entry in Diesel’s ongoing collaboration with Rabbit Hole Whiskey. This release honours Kentucky’s intertwined traditions of horse racing and bourbon.
Featuring an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a unique barrel-aged Nicaraguan binder, the Raceking delivers full-bodied richness with nutty, earthy notes and subtle cocoa—perfect alongside a dram of rye whiskey or a dark ale. Like its predecessors, it’s crafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A., promising exceptional quality and construction.
Set to coincide with the Kentucky Derby, the Raceking comes in a Toro vitola and is limited to 2,300 10-count boxes, priced at $15.99 per cigar.
With these two distinctive releases, Diesel once again proves its knack for innovation, regional storytelling, and blending artistry—just in time for the warmer months ahead.
