Don Lino comes to the PCA Convention & Trade Show
Don Lino comes to the PCA Convention & Trade Show. During the PCA Trade Show, Miami Cigar & Company will reveal two new Don Lino lines. Both are Dominican made, at a factory that Miami Cigar & Co won’t reveal, or won’t reveal just yet.
In the past, La Aurora Cigars was the manufacturer for Don Lino. When Trinidad Cigar Company from Malaysia reintroduced Nestor Miranda Cigars last year, they did that via a zoom meeting. Jason Wood, Vice President of Miami Cigar Company, said then that the plan was to have all Don Lino lines to be made by A.J. Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua. But with the release of two Dominican Don Lino lines, that seems to be out of the window.
Connecticut & Maduro
The new Dominican Don Lino cigars will come with a Connecticut Shade wrapper and a Maduro wrapper. The wrapper of the first is Ecuadorian Connecticut over a Dominican Olor binder. The filler is Pennsylvania Broadleaf, Dominican Criollo 98, Dominican Olor, and an unknown variety of tobacco from Nicaragua. The Maduro version has filler from Cameroon, Criollo 98 from the Dominican Republic, and Pennsylvania Broadleaf. The binder is Dominican Olor under a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper.
Both lines come in three vitolas, and in boxes of 20 cigars. The sizes are a 5×50 Robusto, 5½x54 Toro, and a 6×60 Gran Toro. The cigars should be ready for shipping in August.
