Drew Estate Appoints New Dutch Distributor for 2026

December 11, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

The Dutch cigar landscape will shift in 2026 as Drew Estate confirms a new distribution partner. Small Batch Traders B.V. will take over the brand’s distribution in the Netherlands from 1 January. The move highlights Drew Estate’s wider strategy to refine its global footprint.

A New Partnership for the Dutch Market

Drew Estate has chosen Small Batch Traders B.V. for its reach and focus. Founder Stijn Elbersen launched the company in 2021 and quickly built a strong presence in the premium cigar sector. He expressed excitement about the collaboration. He praised Drew Estate’s innovation and said his team will support the brand’s growth. Sales Manager Henry ter Haar will lead the efforts in retail.

Drew Estate sees strong potential in the Netherlands. David Cruz Tortora, General Manager of International Brand Development, said the country offers a discerning market. He added that Small Batch Traders understands the premium segment well. He expects that the partnership will boost visibility and strengthen brand loyalty.

A Look at Drew Estate’s Distribution History

Four Distributors in 15 Years

This change marks the fourth shift in Dutch distribution over 15 years. The Longfiller Company introduced Drew Estate to Dutch consumers. After that, distribution moved to Royal Agio. During that period, Drew Estate became the U.S. distributor for Balmoral. When STG acquired Agio, the company stopped Balmoral in the U.S. but kept Drew Estate in its European distribution portfolio. That arrangement lasted until now.

A Strategic Overhaul of International Operations

Drew Estate recently informed distributors about a restructuring of its non-U.S. business. One key sign of change was the company’s absence from the InterTabac 2025 exhibition floor. The restructuring includes new distributor agreements and unknown changes in other territories. German distributor Kopp Tobacco hinted at adding major brands. They did not confirm names. Industry observers now wonder if Drew Estate is one of those brands.
