Drew Estate launching Acid in Germany
Drew Estate is launching Acid in Germany. The Miami based company announced that today in a press release. The ACID Mega and ACID Blondie will be shipped to retailers next month. The launch will be supported by a series of events all over Germany.
For 20 years, ACID has been a staple in humidors across the United States, and it has become the #1 selling brand in the US. To celebrate that milestone, Drew Estate is excited to launch ACID in Germany as well. The cigar has a cult-like status in the cigar scene and Drew Estate can’t wait to bring the culture and experience to the German cigar aficionados. ACID cigars are blessed with a rich infusion creating a smoking experience unlike any other.
ACID Mega
The ACID Mega is a new name, but not a new cigar. The cigar is known as ACID Kuba Kuba in the United States. Due to copyrights on the Cuba name in Europe, Drew Estate had to rename the cigar. It’s not the first time that legislation forced Drew Estate to change the name on a product for international release. European laws forbid the use of ‘natural’ for tobacco products. Drew Estate rebranded their Natural line to Larutan. First just for international markets, later for the American market too.
The ACID Mega is a 5×54 Robusto wrapped in a rich and creamy Sumatran leaf, with an ultra-premium binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. The cigars have a fixed price of €7,90 per cigar. They are packed with 24 in a box.
The ACID Blondie is a 4×38 short cigar. The wrapper is a smooth Connecticut. The fillers and binder are from Nicaragua. They come packed in boxes of 40 with a fixed price of €4,50 per cigar.

Royal Agio is the distribution partner for Drew Estate in Germany. They also distribute Drew Estate in several other European markets. At the moment it is unclear if the ACID Mega and ACID Blondie will be distributed in other markets as well.
