E.P. Carrillo Launches Fourth Pledge98 Campaign in Support of Els for Autism
E.P. Carrillo Cigars has announced the return of its Pledge98 initiative, marking its fourth year supporting the Els for Autism Foundation. The campaign aims to raise funds and awareness throughout April, aligning with World Autism Month.
E.P. Carrillo Cigar Company continues its commitment to community and advocacy with the return of its heartfelt Pledge98 campaign, a charitable initiative dedicated to supporting the Els for Autism Foundation. Now in its fourth year, Pledge98 reflects the brand’s ongoing dedication to helping individuals with autism and their families through tangible, meaningful contributions.
The initiative draws its name from the E.P. Carrillo Pledge Prequel, which received an outstanding 98 rating when it was crowned Cigar of the Year in 2020. In tribute, throughout April 2025, E.P. Carrillo will donate $9.80 for every box of Pledge Prequel (5×50) cigars sold, with all proceeds benefiting the Els for Autism Foundation. April is recognised globally as World Autism Month, making this the ideal time to amplify awareness and give back.
Beyond sales donations, E.P. Carrillo will be hosting Pledge98 events across the United States and taking part in Els for Autism golf tournaments throughout the year. The campaign is part of the broader Carrillo Cares initiative, which has already raised over $150,000 for the foundation through previous years’ fundraising efforts.

The Els for Autism Foundation, established in 2009 by professional golfer Ernie Els, his wife Liezl Els, and philanthropist Marvin R. Shanken, provides a wide array of evidence-based services and programmes for individuals and families affected by autism. With a global reach and a flagship facility in Jupiter, Florida, the foundation addresses six key areas: education, research, global support, recreation, adult services, and therapy.
