EGM Cigars Enters the U.S. Market with Dominican Craft and Growing Global Demand
EGM Cigars has entered the United States market after gaining strong global demand. The Swiss-born brand now partners with City of Palms to reach American retailers.
EGM Cigars Expands into the United States
Online retailer Ettore Gabriele Moraschinelli launched his EGM brand in 2022. He works from Switzerland near the Italian border. He began in 2017 with Cuban cigars, but the market shifted fast. Cuban cigars grew scarce and costly. Customers then explored his Dominican house brand. The elegant monogram and refined blends drew interest. Demand grew and the brand gained an international following. This global push now brings EGM to the United States.
Moraschinelli wants a brand that stands alone. He rejects the idea that EGM exists as a Cuban substitute. He aims to build a benchmark for premium cigars. He uses a clear message and a strong identity. The brand now reaches smokers in 25 countries through retailers and distributors.
A Strategic Move into a Key Market
The United States offers new opportunities for EGM. Moraschinelli plans to exhibit at the next PCA trade show. His brands, EGM and Empyrean, enter the market through City of Palms. The distributor is based in Fort Myers, Florida. It focuses on boutique labels and aims to position EGM with serious cigar enthusiasts.
Production and Portfolio
EGM cigars come from the ABAM factory in Santo Domingo. The blends use only Dominican tobacco. The line spans 11 sizes. These include Petit Encantos, Encantos, Robustos, Blecos and Diademas. Larger ring gauge formats, like Escudos, meet the needs of modern smokers. Prices stretch from $16.49 to $55.99. Most sizes sit in the $20 to $30 segment.
The Empyrean Series
Empyrean forms the second brand under Moraschinelli’s portfolio. It also uses Dominican tobacco and comes from the same factory. The tobacco ages for at least five years. The line features three large-ring options: Heraldos, Praxedes and Paraisos. It delivers more body and strength than the core EGM line. Prices range from $58 to $67.49.
A Growing Vision for the Future
Moraschinelli sees this move as a milestone for his family business. He values the support from global smokers. He believes the U.S. launch confirms that his vision connects with a broad audience. His aim remains clear. He wants EGM to unite smokers across borders through quality and craft.
