El Septimo Unveils Alexander III Maduro Toro as a Corona Cigar Co. Exclusive

November 11, 2024 Inspector X 3 min read

El Septimo has partnered with Corona Cigar Co. to create a unique exclusive: the Alexander III Maduro Toro. This new addition to El Septimo’s Emperor Collection features a rich blend crafted with premium, aged tobaccos and is set to debut in four in-store events from November 19–22.

A Refined Blend for a Robust Smoke

The Alexander III Maduro Toro showcases an Ecuadorian habano criollo wrapper, contributing to its robust profile. The binder is an Ecuadorian habano 2000, while the filler blend is a rich mix of tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Brazil. El Septimo notes that each leaf in this blend has been aged for a minimum of five years, enhancing its smoothness and refinement. Unlike its predecessor, which featured a mild Connecticut-seed wrapper, this new version has been completely reworked to better align with the bold character of the Maduro wrapper.

Originally introduced at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, the first Alexander III cigar was one of the early releases in El Septimo’s portfolio. It quickly became known for its mild strength and Connecticut-seed wrapper, making it a popular choice among cigar enthusiasts. This new iteration takes a different approach, offering a richer and more complex flavour profile tailored to the preferences of Corona Cigar Co.’s clientele.

Celebrating a Prestigious Collaboration

Zaya S. Younan, CEO of El Septimo Geneva, expressed his pride in the partnership, saying, “It is an honour that Corona Cigar Company has entrusted us to design a cigar that carries their prestigious name. We have crafted something exceptional that reflects Corona Cigar Company’s legacy, and the Alexander III Maduro stands as a proud symbol of this collaboration.”

Jeff and Tanya Borysiewicz, owners of Corona Cigar Co., also shared their excitement about the exclusive release. “El Septimo has quickly become one of our top-selling brands across all locations,” they remarked. “Their commitment to using Grade A tobacco and their meticulous production processes make their cigars unique and highly premium. We chose El Septimo to create a cigar that embodies the quality and exceptional experience we aim to offer our customers.”

Availability and Pricing

The Alexander III Maduro Toro is available in a 6 x 54 toro vitola, priced at $20 per cigar. Boxes of 20 are listed at $400, with a current discount bringing the price down to $360. Although this is a limited edition release, specific production numbers have not been disclosed yet.

Pre-orders are now open, and the cigar will officially launch at a series of in-store events with Zaya S. Younan from November 19 to 22. This exclusive release is expected to be a must-try for cigar aficionados looking to experience a unique, ultra-premium blend that reflects the heritage and craftsmanship of both El Septimo and Corona Cigar Co.
