El Septimo Unveils Limited Edition Doble Gran Reserva for 20th Anniversary

To mark its 20th anniversary, luxury cigar brand El Septimo is launching a highly exclusive release: the Doble Gran Reserva. With a price tag of $125 per cigar, this new offering embodies the company’s dedication to premium craftsmanship and innovation.

The El Septimo Doble Gran Reserva is a 6 x 52 toro featuring an Ecuadorian wrapper, a Dominican binder, and a complex filler blend sourced from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. According to the company, all tobaccos used in this blend have been aged for between seven and ten years, enhancing the depth and richness of its profile.

Production will be strictly limited, with only 1,000 boxes of 14 cigars being made available. Alexandra Younan, El Septimo’s director of marketing and branding, confirmed that the cigars are set to ship in May, exclusively to the company’s top 50 accounts.

“With the Doble Gran Reserva, we have harnessed the collective wisdom of global experts and fused it with groundbreaking scientific techniques in fermentation to create an experience that transcends tradition,” said Zaya Younan, CEO of El Septimo, in a press release. “This cigar is a living testament to our passion for innovation and our unwavering commitment to excellence and producing the best cigars in the world.”

El Septimo reports that over 60 experts were consulted in the development of this blend, ensuring a meticulously crafted smoking experience.

The El Septimo brand was founded in 2005 by French distributor Gilles Botquin and remained largely outside the U.S. market for years. However, after Zaya Younan acquired the brand in 2019, it shifted focus to establishing a strong presence in the American market. The Doble Gran Reserva continues this expansion, reinforcing El Septimo’s position as a luxury leader in the cigar industry.
