El Viejo Continente changes Dutch distribution. A few years ago, a brand new cigar importer & distributor emerged in The Netherlands. De Sigarenman from Hellevoetsluis. Owner and founder Robert Blonk is responsible for introducing El Viejo Continente and Bossner to the Dutch cigar enthusiasts.

 Soon after starting his distribution company, serial entrepreneur Blonk also opens a tobacconist store with the same name. With so many businesses to focus on, it was not possible for Blonk to give his import and distribution company the attention it deserves. 

 Gajane Benelux

 In comes Gajane Benelux, another tobacco importer and distributor in The Netherlands. Recently Gajane Benelux, De Sigarenman, and Bossner agreed it would be best for all parties to move the distribution to the Gajane Benelux portfolio. And so happened. This also means that Bossner is entering the Belgian market.

 The same thing is happening now with El Viejo Continente, including the Circus line. De Sigarenman stops importing and distributing completely. Gajane Benelux takes over all of the import and distribution previously done by De Sigarenman. And they are not just taking over for The Netherlands. They are also bringing the brands to Belgium and Luxembourg where possible. 

 Gajane Benelux is starting with a selection of El Viejo Continente. They will slowly expand the portfolio following the demand of the cigar enthusiasts in the Benelux. Steph Kronenburg from Gajane Benelux says that the first shipment is underway and that they will soon be available for retailers in the Benelux.
