Episode 30: The Philip & Ferdy Cigar Show

April 28, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Episode 30: The Philip & Ferdy Cigar Show. And this time, the guys met up with Lord GK from whiskyhaven.com at the whiskyhaven office. The cigar of choice is the Hiram & Solomon Entered Apprentice, a Connecticut Shade cigar hailing from Nicaragua. Fouad Kashouty from Hiram & Solomon suggested to pair this cigar with coffee and so we did. With fresh ground coffee and several Japanese ice coffees.

The Hiram & Solomon Entered Apprentice refers to the first tier of Freemasonry. When you join the freemasonry, the first step is to become an entered apprentice. The core line of Hiram & Solomon represents the three tiers with the Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason. We reviewed a few Hiram & Solomon cigars: (enter the reviews). And The Philip & Ferdy Cigar Show paired the Hiram & Solomon Fellow Craft with the Asian king of fruits: Durian.

Entered Apprentice

The Hiram & Solomon Entered Apprentice is the mildest cigar from the company. It features a Honduran Connecticut Shade wrapper and a Honduran binder. Both from the Talanga region of the Central American country. The filler comes from Nicaragua, the United States, and Paraguay. From Ometepe, Nicaragua, and Pennsylvania, the USA to be more precise. Hiram & Solomon sponsored the 5×52 Robusto for the show.

Other episodes that the guys refer to in the show are the shows with the Illusione Haut Ten, Cimarron Connecticut, and Martell Cognac.
