Espinosa Launches Two Limited-Edition Cigars: A Tribute to Tradition
Espinosa Premium Cigars has unveiled two new limited-edition offerings: the Murciélago Shikaka and the final release of the Las 6 Provincias series, Las 6 Provincias ORT. Both cigars are now shipping to retailers, showcasing unique blends and paying homage to tradition and heritage.
The Murciélago Shikaka, a Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) exclusive, expands on the Murciélago line with a lighter Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, contrasting the dark Mexican wrappers of the core line. The toro-shaped cigar measures 6 inches by 54 ring gauge and features an ovular box press. Limited to 1,000 boxes of 20 cigars, each cigar is priced at $15, with a box retailing for $300. Shikaka, named after the Central American Great White Bat, follows last year’s Murciélago de Oro, continuing Espinosa’s tradition of delivering unique TAA exclusives.
The Las 6 Provincias ORT marks the conclusion of the Las 6 Provincias series, which began in 2018. Named after Oriente, one of Cuba’s original six provinces before the 1976 re-zoning, this toro-sized cigar measures 6 inches by 56 ring gauge and features an Ecuador Habano wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler. Retailing at $18 per cigar or $360 per box of 20, production is also capped at 1,000 boxes.
Both cigars are crafted by Hector J. Alfonso Sr. at A.J. Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Nicaragua, highlighting Espinosa’s commitment to quality and innovation. Whether celebrating Cuban heritage or experimenting with new blends, these releases solidify Espinosa’s reputation for creating exceptional cigars for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
