Fox y ChiMolly Debuts as Limited Toro Collaboration
ChiMolly Cigars and Phoenix retailer Fox Cigar have launched the Fox y ChiMolly, a limited-production toro. The release debuted on December 18 and blends old-world inspiration with modern boutique positioning.
A Retailer Collaboration Takes Shape
The Fox y ChiMolly marks a joint project between a retailer and a young cigar brand. ChiMolly positions itself as a Chinese-themed boutique label with a focus on craftsmanship.
Fox Cigar operates out of Phoenix and has worked closely with ChiMolly since the brand’s early U.S. exposure. The two companies first partnered publicly during the 2025 PCA Trade Show.
This release builds on that relationship and formalises it through a co-branded cigar.
Blend and Vitola Specifications
The Fox y ChiMolly comes in a 6 x 52 toro format. ChiMolly refers to the size as a Robusto E, with the “E” standing for extra.
An Ecuadorian habano 99 wrapper covers the cigar. A Nicaraguan binder holds fillers from both the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
The blend aims to balance structure and depth rather than overt strength. ChiMolly describes the profile as rooted in an “old world style.”
Factory and Production Details
ChiMolly produces its cigars at the Mi Havana Factory in Nicaragua. The factory handles all regular production for the brand.
Production for the Fox y ChiMolly is capped at 500 boxes. Each box contains 20 cigars.
That limit places total output at 10,000 cigars. The relatively small run reinforces the collaborative nature of the project.
Pricing and Availability
Each Fox y ChiMolly cigar carries an MSRP of $16. Fox Cigar markets the release as a store exclusive.
Despite that positioning, Fox Cigar is also offering the cigar for wholesale accounts. Two retailers in California have already begun selling the cigar.
ChiMolly and Fox Cigar have also confirmed openness to international distribution opportunities.
Brand Perspectives on the Release
Zhuofeng Weng described the project as a meeting of shared values. He emphasised character, authenticity, and tradition as the foundation of the collaboration.
Weng framed the cigar as more than a single release. He positioned it as a bridge between different cultural approaches to cigar making.
Mitchell Fox highlighted the partnership’s roots in customer experience and brand identity. He pointed to the success of the initial PCA launch as validation of the collaboration.
Market Debut Timing
The Fox y ChiMolly officially debuted on Thursday, December 18. Shipments have already reached select retailers.
With wholesale and international options on the table, the release may extend beyond its original retail focus.
