Fratello Ships Bootlegger, the Latest in Concealed Carry Series
Fratello Cigars has begun shipping the Bootlegger, the fourth instalment in its Concealed Carry series. Like its predecessors, this release embraces mystery, with both the blend and the factory producing the cigars remaining undisclosed.
A Tribute to the Prohibition Era
The Bootlegger is a 5 1/2 x 54 robusto, priced at $10 per cigar, and sold in 12-count canisters. It follows previous releases in the Concealed Carry series, including the 18th Amendment, Detroit River, and Speakeasy. As with its predecessors, this limited-edition cigar is a one-time production with a strict allocation to only 75 retailers.
According to Fratello Cigars founder and CEO Omar de Frias, Bootlegger continues the storytelling approach that defines the Concealed Carry line. “The Bootlegger is the perfect follow-through to our popular Speakeasy cigar — both are more than just cigars, they’re stories,” said de Frias. “Tales of entrepreneurship born not from luxury, but from necessity, forced by the heavy hand of government regulation. These cigars pay homage to the boldness, grit, and creativity it took to thrive in the shadows of Prohibition.”
A Limited, Collectible Series
The Concealed Carry series first launched in April 2024 and consists of a set of six limited-production cigars. Each release is crafted at undisclosed factories in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua, adding an extra layer of intrigue. The first three releases were limited to 1,000 canisters each, resulting in a total of 12,000 cigars produced thus far.
De Frias has stated that the goal of the Concealed Carry series is to spark conversation and reflection. “Every retailer in the United States has patronage from every walk of life. We want to create and foster a sense of community and education with Concealed Carry Cigars.”
Availability
The Bootlegger is now shipping to retailers, with Fratello continuing its commitment to producing small-batch cigars that celebrate history, resilience, and the artistry of cigar making. Cigar enthusiasts eager to explore this latest instalment should act fast, as availability is limited to select retailers.
