Fuente joins forces with La Casa del Tabaco

October 24, 2022 Inspector Z 2 min read

Fuente joins forces with La Casa del Tabaco. Arturo Fuente International, a joint venture between Arturo Fuente and the Meerapfel family, announces a new distribution partner in a press release. Effective immediately, La Casa del Tabaco is the Arturo Fuente distributor in Spain.

The press release

Arturo Fuente International is proud to announce a new distribution partnership. Effective immediately, La Casa del Tabaco will be importing and distributing Arturo Fuente cigars onto the Spanish market.

“We are thrilled to finally work with the Zapata family” announces Jeremiah Meerapfel, President of Arturo Fuente International. “Ramon has been friends with Carlito Fuente and me for many years and share common values with our families including hard work, determination, and above all, a passion and respect for the finest premium cigars.”

La Casa del Tabaco, the distribution arm of the Zapata businesses, has created a unique distribution cell focused solely on the representation of Arturo Fuente cigars. Only a few highly experienced, highly trained sales managers will handle the brand representation for the company with the portfolio exclusively reserved to Arturo Fuente.

“It is important the brand is handled separately”, explains Aitor Zapata, 2nd generation of the Spanish family business and Marketing Director for the company. “Arturo Fuente is the crown jewel of the premium cigar industry; we must ensure it has our full attention and that of our retail partners”.

A limited range of the Arturo Fuente portfolio will be available for order in Spain as early as this May. A more complete offering is expected in October of 2021.

La Casa del Tabaco

The Zapata family owns Gesinta, a distributor for tobacco products and accessories. Most of the portfolio is mass market. The premium handmade cigars division is named La Casa del Tabaco. The international ownership of the Condega brand is part of La Casa del Tabaco as well. Plus the distribution of Oliva, My Father Cigars, Tatuaje, J.C. Newman, Perdomo, and several other brands.
