Fuerte y Libra Announces New Avalanche
Fuerte y Libra announces the upcoming availability of the new Avalanche. The new Avalanche is in two vitolas, a Toro (6X50) and a Robusto (5X52). According to a press release, the cigar was a work in progress for 18 months to create a unique Mild cigar loaded with subtle Dominican flavour.
The Avalanche is a cigar made with Dominican filler and binder under an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The blend fills out the line on the mild end of the spectrum while still providing solid flavour notes representative of the Cibao Valley.
“Our strategy from the start of Fuerte y Libre was to introduce new lines, not based on a calendar or clock but instead to allow a blend to tell us that it’s ready for release.” said Greg Free, President of Fuerte y Libre Cigars Inc. He continued “When you look out over the factory floor and see everyone nodding affirmatively, in quiet contemplation, as they smoke the Avalanche final blend, you know it’s time. This blend allows us to touch on the solid market for mild cigars. It provides an entry point for new smokers and is also a great first cigar of the day for seasoned aficionados. “
The cigars are made at Tabacalera El Hoyito and come in boxes of 21 cigars.
