General Cigars is Releasing a New La Gloria Cubana
General Cigars is releasing a new La Gloria Cubana, the Serie S. It is a line exclusively for the United States due to trademarks. Outside the United States, La Gloria Cubana is a Cuban brand and General Cigars isn’t allowed to sell cigars under the LGC name outside the United States.
The La Gloria Cubana Serie S is made with a Mexican San Andres wrapper. The binder comes from Nicaragua, while the filler is a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. General Cigars Dominicana in Santiago de los Caballeros produces the cigars. There are three vitolas, all with a hefty ring gauge. The Robusto Gordo measures 5½x56, the Gigante is a 6×60, and finally there is the 7×56 Presidente.
Serie S combines large-ring formats, expert blending and fine craftsmanship in a medium-to-full-bodied smoke,” said Steve Abbot, director of marketing for La Gloria Cubana, in a press release. “We believe this new collection will be a well-received addition to the brand portfolio
