Green Smoke: Hublot and Fuente Unite for OpusX Anniversary Watch

Luxury watchmaker Hublot and Arturo Fuente Cigar Co. have joined forces once again to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the iconic Fuente Fuente OpusX brand. Their latest creation, the Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Arturo Fuente King Gold, is a dazzling tribute to craftsmanship, available in an exclusive run of just 50 pieces.

Unveiled at the Arturo Fuente Cigar Factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic, this sixth collaboration features a 42-mm Classic Fusion Chronograph case crafted entirely in Hublot’s proprietary King Gold, an alloy containing platinum for a warmer tone than traditional rose gold. The bezel showcases an intricate laser-engraved tobacco leaf motif, tying the design to Fuente’s legacy.

The emerald-green sunray dial, enhanced with a gradient fumé effect, radiates sophistication. Key design details include a gold-and-green OpusX 25th Anniversary logo on the chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, while a matching green alligator leather strap completes the watch’s luxurious aesthetic.

On the reverse, the solid King Gold case back is engraved with OpusX 25th Anniversary artwork. Powering the watch is Hublot’s HUB1153 automatic chronograph movement, offering a 48-hour power reserve and water resistance up to 50 metres. Priced at $40,500, each timepiece is presented in a lacquered green box that doubles as a cigar humidor.

Beyond the watch itself, the launch also celebrated the Fuente Cigar Family Charitable Foundation’s Art Academy, which supports education and health initiatives in the Dominican Republic. “The honour and privilege of building such a wonderful relationship with Hublot has been one of my greatest lifetime achievements,” said Carlos Fuente Jr.
