Grim news for the Dutch

Very bad news for cigar smokers in The Netherlands. Today a concept agreement between the government and anti-smoke mafia clubs was released and it looks grim. Very grim.

Taxes on tobacco products will be raised severely. In government buildings, hospitals, cafe’s, bars, restaurants and hotels smoking will be completely banned. Smoke lounges are not permitted anymore. Sport accommodations, schools and playgrounds will be completely smoke free.

Eventually every single company will have to become smoke free. Smoke lounges will be prohibited, even outdoor smoking on company premises will be forbidden. And this goes for all tobacco and electronic smoke devices. So cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, sisha pens, waterpipes and herbal mixes.

The tobacco industry was not invited to be part of the concept agreement negotiations and they speak of a dictate into the personal life of the adult smoker.
