Gurkha Cigars Finds New Importer after Racist Comments

Gurkha Cigars, the company still 50% owned by Kaizad Hansotia against the promises made by Hansotia and Gurkha after racists comments from Hansotia on Facebook has found an importer in Italy. Italia Cigar Company, who imports brands such as La Galera, Cibao, Casa Turrent and cigars from Robert Caldwell, has signed a distribution agreement Gurkha Cigars for the Italian market.

“Adding Gurkha to our portfolio was a natural decision,” said Amedeo Canale, president and ceo of Italia Cigar Company. The company starts with a selection of Gurkha cigars including the whole series of the Cellar Reserve, the Ghost, Treinta and a series of other Gurkha cigars made by several different factories.
