H. Upmann Magnum Finite Edición Limitada 2024 Now Available Worldwide
After a long delay, the H. Upmann Magnum Finite Edición Limitada 2024 is finally reaching cigar retailers worldwide. It is the last of three Edición Limitada releases originally slated for 2022.
A New Vitola in the Cuban Portfolio
The Magnum Finite is a robusto extra vitola known as Singulares, measuring 5 1/8 inches (130mm) by 53 ring gauge. This is a completely new format for H. Upmann, adding a unique size to the brand’s lineup. The cigar had its debut during an exclusive launch event in Spain last year. Distributors have now confirmed that boxes are beginning to arrive in stores across various markets.
Global Availability and Pricing
In Spain, the official price is €50 per cigar or €1,250 for a box of 25. That translates to around $57.75 and $1,443.75 respectively. Switzerland will receive its first official shipments on 5 August. Boxes will be available through La Casa del Habano stores. Swiss pricing is set at 47 CHF per cigar ($58.25) or 1,175 CHF per box ($1,456.16). Pacific Cigar Co., which manages distribution across Asia and Oceania, has confirmed that limited stock is reaching select retailers in the region.
The Final Edición Limitada of 2024
The H. Upmann Magnum Finite is the last of the Edición Limitada trio for 2024. The Ramón Allones Absolutos hit the market in April. The Trinidad Cabildos appeared last July, although only in Premier Edition five-count boxes. While not officially announced as such, these cigars were originally designated for the 2022 programme. They were later pushed to 2023, and eventually launched in 2024. Habanos S.A. formally confirmed this new timeline in February.
What Makes Edición Limitada Cigars Special?
Edición Limitada cigars introduce a new vitola to an existing Cuban brand. While not always a new size overall, it is one not used previously within that label. These cigars feature tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río, which has been aged for at least two years. They are rolled with a distinct secondary band that reads “Edición Limitada” along with the release year. Production numbers are rarely published. However, the limited nature and aged tobacco make these cigars highly sought-after by aficionados.
Looking Ahead to the 2025 Edición Limitada Releases
In most years, Habanos S.A. issues three new Edición Limitada cigars. For 2025, however, only two are officially announced: the Montecristo Elba and Punch Princesas. A third release, the Romeo y Julieta Amantes, celebrates the brand’s 150th anniversary. Although it lacks an Edición Limitada band, it effectively fills the third slot.
This mirrors 2015, when the Montecristo 80 Aniversario became the informal third cigar of that year’s line-up. None of the 2025 cigars have been released yet.
