Habanos S.A. Will Be Hosting a Gala to Celebrate the Cohiba Brand
Starting tomorrow and ending on Friday. There will be a humidor auction on the gala dinner of the final evening. There will be only two types of humidors up for auction, both dedicated to the iconic Cohiba brand.
The first humidor is the Cohiba 55 Anniversario humidor It was showcased in the virtual Habanos festival in May 2021. The humidor is cave shaped and made by Nous Group and executed by Humidores Habana, which has been creating humidors for Habanos S.A. for more than 20 years. The humidor is 1 meter 70 high and 1 meter 30 wide. It’s made out of precious woods, mother of pearl embedded along the base, and the Cohiba 55th Anniversary logo in gold with Swarovski crystals. The interior is made from Okuma and mahogany, with trays to hold the 550 cigars that come with the humidor. An internal humidification system and hygrometers ensure that the cigars are kept at optimal conditions. The 550 cigars that come with the humidor are as followed:

The second humidor is a tasting cabinet that comes with Cohiba Ambar cigars and champagne. A bottle of Champagne Rare Millésime 1988 to be precise. This tasting cabinet is more of a desktop style cabinet made with sycamore, Okuma, gold, silver and mother of pearl. It’s made by Elie Bleu. The humidor contains an ashtray and a cigar cutter too. The winner of the auction takes home 48 more bottles of Champagne, 24 bottles each of Rare Millésime 1998 and Rare Millésime 2008.
Habanos S.A. said that after the auction, an additional nine of the Rare Le Rituel humidors will be produced “upon request.” The company has not yet elaborated on how they will be sold or how much they will cost.
