HALO Cigar Cutter Set for April Release
A new premium cigar accessory will arrive this spring. Chaveta S.A. has unveiled the HALO Cigar Cutter, a design-led piece created in collaboration with Kacper Hamilton.
Collaboration Behind the HALO Cutter
Chaveta S.A. revealed the cutter as its latest project. The company owns EGM Cigars, a Swiss operation with its own cigar lines and retail stores.
The cutter continues Chaveta’s ongoing partnership with Kacper Hamilton. Hamilton previously designed the HALO Cigar Stand, which debuted in 2023. The new cutter builds directly on that design language.
Design and Mechanism
The HALO Cigar Cutter uses a double-guillotine system. One end moves outward from the body. A spring-loaded mechanism drives that motion.
The cutter features a distinctive octagonal shape. It measures 2.28 inches by 2.28 inches, with a thickness of 0.39 inches. The opening accommodates cigars up to a 60-ring gauge.
This mechanism aims to combine ease of use with visual impact. The spring-loaded action also keeps the form compact when closed.
Materials and Finish
The cutter’s body consists primarily of metal. Enamel accents add contrast and colour depth. The materials reinforce the object’s premium positioning.
The design echoes the HALO stand’s sculptural aesthetic. Clean lines and symmetry define the overall look.
Available Colourways
Chaveta will release the HALO Cigar Cutter in four finishes. Each colourway pairs metallic tones with rich enamel accents.
Colour Options
HALO Cigar Cutter Emerald — Gold and green
HALO Cigar Cutter Lazuli — Gold and blue
HALO Cigar Cutter Onyx — Silver and black
HALO Cigar Cutter Oxblood — Gold and red
Each version shares the same dimensions and cutting capacity. The difference lies purely in finish and visual style.
Pricing and Availability
The HALO Cigar Cutter will retail for CHF 159. That converts to approximately $205. Chaveta expects orders to ship in April.
The cutter targets collectors and design-focused smokers. It also complements the existing HALO stand for those building a matching accessory set.
