Hiram & Solomon Has Found a New Factory

July 12, 2022 Billie 2 min read

After ending the fulfilment agreement with Blanco Cigars and with that their contract with Plasencia Cigars, Hiram & Solomon was looking for a new factory to make its cigars. That new factory is the Blue Star Factory, better known as PDR Cigars in Tamboril on the Dominican Republic.

It’s no surprise as last year Fouad Kashouty and Romy Kashouty started working with Abe Flores on new blends. Now PDR will also make the already existing portfolio, including Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, Master Mason, Veiled Prophet, Traveling Man, Shriner, Grand Architect, 300th Anniversary, and Unity.

“The PDR factory is one of the most modern boutique cigar facilities in the world,” Hiram & Solomon says in a press release. “It uses the most skilled rollers, employing not only the highest quality leaf, but also the Cuban tradition of entubado, a method of bunching that results in a better and more consistent draw.”

The latest lines from Hiram & Solomon, Châbal, Revival, and Sublime Prince 32, were already made at PDR Cigars just as the Hiram & Solomon and Cigars for Warriors limited edition Live2Serve.

“We have been working together for over a year now and we have built a great working relationship,” Abe Flores, owner of PDR Cigars says. “I’m humbled that they would want to just work with me alone and no other factory.”

Fouad Kashouty told that PDR Cigars has already started production on Hiram & Solomon’s lines. He was optimistic that the first PDR-made cigars would begin arriving at retailers in five to six months.
