Hunters and Frankau unveils House Reserve 2025 in London

October 21, 2025 Usman Dawood 2 min read

Hunters and Frankau launched two House Reserve releases at Coq d’Argent on 15 October 2025, presenting aged Montecristo and a Por Larranaga Regional collection to leading members of the UK cigar trade.

The House Reserve program preserves notable Havanas in ideal conditions and releases small quantities in Britain under Aged and Rare or in commissioned humidors as Series 1790. All cigars were made totally by hand in Cuba and have remained under Hunters and Frankau supervision since arrival in Britain, which secures provenance and storage pedigree.

Aged and Rare Montecristo 90th Anniversary

To mark the ninetieth year of Montecristo, Hunters and Frankau curated a special set of Montecristo cigars aged for ten years. The release covers four of the original vitolas from the 1935 launch era, with numbered boxes for No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5. In addition, the acclaimed 2012 Habanos Limited Edition Montecristo 520 appears in its own numbered run. Each cigar carries an Aged and Rare foot band and each box bears a commemorative band for the anniversary. Quantities are sharply limited, with one hundred and thirty five numbered boxes of each of the four classic vitolas and one hundred boxes of Montecristo 520.

Series 1790 Collection No. 3

The third Series 1790 instalment arrives as fifty numbered humidors crafted by DeART S.r.l. Each humidor holds fifty Por Larranaga cigars, comprising every UK Regional Edition released for the brand, with each cigar foot banded to show inclusion in the set. Hunters and Frankau has also collaborated with S. T. Dupont on bespoke accessories to match each humidor, including a numbered cutter that unfolds into a cigar rest and a Ligne 2 lighter with a double flame and the signature Dupont sound.#

Speaking at the event, Executive Chairman Jemma Freeman said, “The House Reserve is a testament to our commitment to preserving the finest Havana cigars and presenting them at their peak maturity. With the Montecristo 90th Anniversary release and the Series 1790 Collection No. 3, we are proud to offer aficionados something truly exceptional and unique to the UK market.”

Hunters and Frankau remains the appointed distributor of Cuban cigars in the United Kingdom, with quality controls, optimal storage and the EMS quality mark underpinning the program and its releases.
