Hunters & Frankau Announces La Flor de Cano Selectos No.3 UK Regional Edition

Hunters & Frankau will introduce its latest UK Habanos Regional Edition, the La Flor de Cano Selectos No.3, at three events in the United Kingdom on February 6th. These tastings, intended for H&F’s trade customers, will take place in London, Manchester, and Glasgow.

Following the launch, the Selectos No.3 will be available from February 7th through La Casa del Habanos, Havana Cigar Specialists, and selected hotels, restaurants, and private clubs.

The Cervantes Size

The La Flor de Cano Selectos No.3 is a medium-bodied cigar in the Cervantes format, measuring 6 ½ inches (165mm) with a 42-ring gauge. The size, also known as a ‘Lonsdale,’ is named after the fifth Earl of Lonsdale, who preferred a longer-lasting corona. Currently, the Montecristo No.1 is the only standard Cervantes cigar in the Habanos portfolio.

UK Regional Edition

This is the third UK Regional Edition for La Flor de Cano, following the Short Robusto in 2010 and the Gran Cano in 2013. Unlike the brand’s regular short-filler production, Regional Editions are long-filler cigars made with tobacco exclusively from Vuelta Abajo.

Production and Availability

A total of 125,000 Selectos No.3 cigars have been produced, packaged in 5,000 numbered SLB (Slide Lid Box) boxes. They will be available exclusively in the UK, each featuring a band printed with the size name.
