HVC Edición Especial 2015 Returns in Box-Pressed Format for Summer 2025
HVC Cigars is reviving a beloved favourite this summer as the Edición Especial 2015 makes its return with an elegant new box-pressed format and upgraded packaging. Originally introduced in 2015, the line was sold through early 2024 before a brief hiatus.
The revamped HVC Edición Especial 2015 retains its classic core: a rich Mexican San Andrés wrapper enveloping a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa. However, founder Reinier Lorenzo notes that the blend has been subtly adjusted to complement the new soft box-pressed shape, offering a smoother draw and enhanced complexity without compromising the cigar’s original bold profile.
“This evolution reflects our dedication to craftsmanship, innovation and the ever-evolving preferences of our customers,” said Lorenzo in a press release. “And what a better way to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of HVC Edición Especial 2015.”
The new release features ornate packaging and five distinct vitolas, four of which are regular production and one a limited edition:
• Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46) – $9 (Box of 20, $180)
• Short Robusto (4 1/2 x 52) – $9.50 (Box of 20, $190)
• Toro (6 x 54) – $10.60 (Box of 20, $212)
• El Grandote (6 x 60) – $12.60 (Box of 20, $252)
• Especiales (6 1/2 x 48) – $10 (Box of 10, $100) [Limited Edition: 1,000 boxes only]
All cigars are expected to ship in June 2025 and will be available at authorised HVC retailers. With refined aesthetics, a reimagined format, and subtle blend enhancements, the Edición Especial 2015 is poised to capture a new generation of enthusiasts while delighting long-time HVC loyalists.
